Not the Biggest Loser...

Samantha over at Mama Notes is doing a GREAT job trying to motivate all us Mamas to lose those extra pounds since having baby (or even before). I have to give her props and kudos because she truly is an inspiration and has many glowing words of praise and support for all of us. But for me, I cannot fathom why I cannot get into the spirit. I joined up in the hopes that this would motivate me to do more, eat better and restart my daily mile walks I took during my pregnancy.
Unfortunately, my plan has backfired. I feel like a loser, a disappointment and definitely not in the top running to become the "Biggest Loser". *sigh* The reality is, I'm under stress/pressure from work and am still trying to juggle working and being a mom. I have no idea where my 'wife' role went to. I'm feeling increasingly frustrated with the hubs and I can't figure out why.
Not to mention, I accepted the Body after Baby Challenge the week before I went away for my annual girls getaway weekend (which I swear I gained 5lbs!) and now here I am on vacation. It is so hard to stick to a diet/exercise plan when you're on vacation!!!
Anyway, all this to post and say - THANKS SAMANTHA but not sure how the rest of these weeks will go for me...

awe Nikki, You are welcome friend and I'm sorry things aren't going well for you!! It's never to late to start though.... remember that! :)
Stick with it - you can always catch back up!
Don't give up, you can still do this! Just take it one day at a time. I started the Couch to 5K running program and have been amazed at the change in my mood. It takes just 30 minutes, 3 days a week. It's some great "me" time with great benefits. It really has helped with relieving stress.
The starting line can be wherever you want it to be. Just start now with small goals that will be easy to achieve. Focus on the positive. You can do this!
I'll tell you I have started dieting and excersizing so many times I cannot count however in the end? I always end up gaining it back! UGH!
Nikki, you have to make sure you make time to be a wife:) So many times us mommies put the babies first and the husband last. That's not always fair to our husbands or ourselves. You just have to put in the extra effort and make sure you don't put your husband on the back burner!
Hang in there. I am having success with the counting calories diet. I can still eat a candy bar if I have enough calories left at the end of the day. Surprisingly it's really working. First diet ever that actually worked.
You'll get in the swing of things soon. No one ever tells you how much your relationship with hubby changes after having a baby.
Hugs!
